On Vacation!!

Here are a lot of photos! Sorry I always go a little overboard. Augie has had the entire week off and it has been wonderful. I forgot what it was like to have him around on a regular basis. The girls have loved it and been up to all sorts of no good.

These are PJ's I bought for Christmas but miss Addison found them early. We did not fight to hard to take them back though cause she was so happy about them. Tonight was first night in a while that she actually fell asleep with PJ's on so we will call it good.

Here are our best attempts for family photos before we ate our meal.

Now I know why Addy will never take a normal photo.
Addy finally agreed to get on the four wheeler this trip to Pocatello and loved it. So on her second trip on the four wheeler she insisted on wearing the life vest she found in Jake's room.
Not even five minutes into the ride she was gone. Good thing she had her life vest on, it held her head up while she slept.

Poor Paiton just watched from the window. It was a little too cold for her and she is getting over a head cold.

What a trooper Grandpa is. He figured out a way to get himself on the small four wheeler so he and Addy could take a ride.

Paiton all ready to get in her bed and it was not even set up yet.

Dad finally showed us his master fort making skills. The girls loved it. We watched movies and even ate lunch in our cool fort. Addison wanted to sleep in it for the night but I knew she would never actually go to sleep so we passed on that.

Addy and our neighbor friends helping Dad rake the leaves.

Our ward does a photo directory so last Sunday we took some family photos after church for an updated family photo. Actually did not go too bad. The girls do well when we set the timer on the camera because the blinking light always keeps them looking.

Addy was being a good mom and got her dog some dinner the other night. He received a well balanced meal of ranch, frosting, rice, and guacamole.

Addy is THREE!!!

Today was Addy's third birthday. She had a wonderful day and really enjoyed the event. She is finally old enough to understand to some degree what it is all about and get into it. I can't believe I have a three year old! We love Addy and her personality. We laugh everyday about all the things she says and does. It is a lot of fun having a kid that really gets the birthday and gets so excited.

We did some fun stuff on Saturday for some celebration since Augie had school until late on Monday. We took the girls swimming and then did a play place at McDonald's for dinner. It was what she wanted so we went along.

Here are the girls ready for swimming in November. Thought it was funny being all bundled up with swimsuit underneath.
Augie hard at work on Sunday night getting the bike ready. What a good Dad!
We got this bike for $5 at a garage sale a little over a month ago. I have been waiting so long to give it to her. It was a steal and in such good condition.
Just added a bell, a basket, and some training wheels and she was set.
Got the table all set up for when she first woke up.
This is her in the morning when she first saw the table.

She is getting the place settings ready for her guests that will be at the party this evening.
It took us all day and three boxes of cake mix to make her dog cake.

You don't even want to know how many tubes of frosting I used.
The birthday girl in her birthday hat.
Addy with her friends the Petersen's. The older boy Jordan on the right is her current crush. She talked all day about Jordan coming to her birthday and always placed him next to her at the table.
She had a lot of helpers in opening her gifts.

She loves her cards that sing. Thanks Nana!

This is Addy refusing to blow out her candles. Apparently it was too scary this year.

Paiton's favorite seat during the party. She played in the booster seat on the for such a long time.

The girls having a tea party!

Thank you so much to everyone that came to her party and grandparents for all the wonderful gifts. We could not have had such a wonderful day without everyone. Addy had a great day and loves everything she got so much.

A good Halloween

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. Addy is actually getting the concept and was very motivated to go to each house. She was very energetic and kept telling us to hurry to get the next house. In reality we only did about two streets but that was plenty for her and she loved it. Paiton had to be carried the whole time which was exhausting due to her size and was not too into it, but of course she needs a few years. Can't wait for next year when Addy really gets the system down.

This one house had a haunted garage you had to go through to get your candy and Addy totally did it. She did not seem scared at all. A little confused as to what was going on but handled it really well. She actually asked to go in with her Dad which surprised us cause we were going to skip it.
She led the way!

Playing trains at Nana's was a big hit. We did this a lot while we were there.

When Addy's friend was over the other day I let them watch a movie on her bed which apparently was quite the novelty. Paiton jumped right in and squeezed herself on the bed also to watch. I thought it was cute to see all three girls.

Pumpkins

Pumpkin patch was fun this year. Luckily Paiton was walking which made it nice except that she DEMANDED to walk all the time which was not always convenient.

Haystack Maze big hit. Paiton loved to walk and Addy actually got the concept of the maze.

Never can get them looking at same time.
Paiton and I on the hay ride.
Paiton wanted to get down and walk the whole hay ride so was quite a battle.

We rode the milk barrel train and Paiton got all upset when I tried to sit with her. So finally I just put her down and she was content doing the ride like this. Whatever works I guess.
Me hard at work carving the pumpkins. We carved pumpkins with our friends the Petersen's again. Always fun when you do things with someone else.
Getting Paiton to touch the pumpkin.
Girls getting into it.

Our finished product. Due to desperate potty needs while at the pumpkin patch we only got one pumpkin this year.

What we have been up to...

We are in Pocatello this week. I came up to watch Jake for my parents so they could take a little vacation. Augie also can attend class up here on campus which has been fun. He is getting to know the other portion of his PA class and getting the campus experience that he does not have at the Boise campus. Also he is able to then help me with the girls and Jake in the evening which helps me survive.

It is very cold up here but we still are having a good time. Here are some pics from what we have been doing while here so far.

Addy jumping when it is FREEZING outside. Grandpa is a trouper for going outside with her.
Feeding the horses some carrots is always a favorite here.
Grandpa has been making all sorts of treats with Addy. The girls got a real kick out of the classic popcorn popper while making Carmel corn. I don't eat popcorn much so not something the see often.
We attended trunk or treat which was cold but fun. Finally Addy got to wear her costume!
Paiton not real crazy about her costume but she did keep it on which is huge a improvement from last month.
Best attempt at photo together.

Uncle Jake is a dog this year. He did a great job hanging out his tongue like a dog!!!

Paiton all ready to go.
After her first piece of candy she just kept wanting to sit down and get to her candy. We had a hard time getting her from car to car.

What happens when I ask Addy for a nice smile.

Best attempt at family photo.
Of course they take great photo with Nana.

Addy and Jake just hanging out eating candy.
Meal time at Nana's always fun.

Finally a good smile.

Our Crazy Girls

Here are just a few of the crazy pictures I have taken over the last couple of weeks. Life is never boring around our home.

Addy actually picked out her own costume this year and has not taken it off since we bought it a month ago! We see it once a day at least; and of course she has to be naked to wear it.

Paiton HAS to do whatever Addy does lately.
Addy finding all sorts of things to climb in lately.

They don't quite fit on the toy together but they try.
This is how Paiton ends up at the end of each meal. It is a good thing she has no hair because it would be disgusting all the time. I can clean it quick and easy with just a cloth.
Addy has found a new little friend. She lives right next door and they see each other about 3 to 4 times DAILY. It has made my life SO MUCH easier especially when she goes over to her house during Paiton's nap time. I just might make it through the next two years.

As many of you know I have had many failed attempts to be released from cub scouts. Poor Addy has been going to scouts with mom since she was 8 months old. She now does the scout salute while saying the pledge (in her own words of course) each time we find a flag. It is pretty cute.

All the sheets that belong in there of course are thrown out each time she climbs in.
Paiton was not happy about this. If she would just leave he head alone during meal time it would not happen.

Aunt JaNae came to visit for the weekend. Her and Addy were popsicles buddies. Each time I would tell Addison she could not have another popsicle she would say it was for Aunt JaNae and then miraculously she had one too.
JaNae and I loaded all three kids in the back seat. It took a little maneuvering and properly was not entirely legal but made outings a blast and the kids thought it was fun.

On the Right Path

As I was getting ready to go to visiting teaching the other day Addy and I were having a conversation about how to behave while at other peoples houses. I was doing my hair and she was on the potty. She kept asking if she could have gum when we got to visiting teaching if she was good. I kept telling her ok if she behaved well and did good listening. After a long pause....

Addy: I follow the prophet!
Me: Ok? That is good behavior. ( no idea where that came from)
Addy: I don't go astray.
Me: (just kept laughing)

It was a good moment.
